Owning guns is a responsibility. Please consider holding the gun owner accountable for the consequences caused by not controlling their guns. Private sales of guns create a pool of millions of weapons that can come into the hands of the criminal or the hands of the mentally unstable. These guns are often not registered, and indeed remain in the name of the prior registered owner. I ask that the gun owner that no longer has possesion of a gun registered to them, be held accountable to the level of the crime commited with their guns.
