Guns or something else, what is really the problem?

After a tragedy such as Sandy Hook everyone seeks answers. What was going on in the shooters head, that would cause him to commit such a horrific crime. It is easy to blame this act on peoples right to bare arms in this country. I personally think it is something far greater than guns that are nothing more than mechanical objects.
Why are young men acting out such violent acts of mass murder. Is it possible, that the video games many of them have grown up playing have had an adverse effect on some of their minds.
Now is the time to look deeper into the problem. Let's invest time and resources researching the impact of violent video on our young men. If not violent games maybe something else. It is time to think outside of the box.
