Guy V. Lewis belongs in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Inductees of lesser accomplishments make his omission all the more egregious. The case:

Produced 10 NBA first round draft picks, 29 players and 3 Hall of Famers.
Arranged the first nationally televised basketball game between UH and UCLA, in the Astrodome. The game starred Hall of Famers Elvin Hayes and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (then Lew Alcindor) and put college basketball on the national map.
