Recently Nigeria voted to criminalize the already abused and oppressed gay and lesbian population. The legislation passed includes up to 10 years prison for those who even witness any form of Gay union.
In recent reports the U.S. has given more than half a billion in aid to Nigeria.
We request all such aid halt immediately until they conform to international humanitarian standards as well as reflecting the personal liberty views that Americans hold dear.
Taxpayer dollars should not be used to support a regime whose leaders openly advocate executing a minority population-indeed who incite open violence upon them.
