My petition calls for an immediate all on all travel from the Ebola-affected nations of Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. The CDC and Department of Homeland Security have not handled the current Ebola outbreak in an appropriate manner.
U.S. citizens have been exposed to a deadly disease due to the lack of security measures allowing travelers to lie about their exposure, and introduce the disease to American soil.
This is unacceptable, and new procedures do not address the security concerns needed to prevent further spread of the disease. We cannot depend on the integrity of travelers to limit exposure of the disease. We have to take action and eliminate all travel immediately, and focus our efforts on containing the already affected citizens who have contracted the disease.
