Recently, it has come to light that the wiretapping, email monitoring, and data collection conducted by the NSA is far broader and pervasive than anyone thought.
These programs are unconstitutional by the Fourth Amendment and represent a troublesome decline in the moral character in our government and the current administration. Whether or not these programs started under the previous administration is not the issue, but the fact that they have continued is.
Americans have the expectation of privacy and anonymity; the unwarranted spying upon her citizens smacks of a totalitarian regime in the making. These programs will be used as justification for dictators and tyrants for their programs. The Rights of the People should never come second to the wants of the government.
