Anwar al-Awlaki will go down in history books as the first U.S. citizen openly assassinated by the U.S. government.
Now, I learn that there may be dozens of U.S. citizens on an assassination list.
No matter what the perceived threat, every U.S. citizen has the right to a trial, be it military or civilian. I, and many Americans believe that the assassination of the muslim cleric transcends the war on terror, and legitimizes a form of justice formerly reserved for tyrannical dictatorships.
We call upon our president to reverse its policy of assassinating U.S. citizens.
