Halt the attempt to decrease the quality of life of people already in severe pain by further regulating Hydrocodone.

Created by M.C. on February 18, 2014

There are millions of Americans who rely on Hydrocodone products to regulate chronic and debilitating pain. Many of these Americans are of an advanced age, have severe mobility issues and depend on this medication to conduct their daily lives. The past few years there has been a crusade against products like Vicodin, first against the acetaminophen they contain, but now against hydrocodone itself. While prescription drug abuse is an epidemic this attack on Vicodin and similar products will make the lives of those who truly need it far more difficult. Changing the DEA scheduling from c-3 to c-2 will make it far more difficult for the disabled, and elderly to attain it. Furthermore in the history of the nation drug regulation only creates criminal markets and fuller prisons.
