Education should be a priority of this country. It should not be an option for Congress or any government entity to reduce the budget of educational services. For too long, education has suffered under the "Have's and Have-not's" all due to the rising popularity of funding being pulled from education. This is unacceptable. This petition calls upon the Obama administration to suggest that no state may reduce their spending on education more than 2% of their overall budget each fiscal year, and also prove an increase in educational funding for a span of 50 years.
It should be in the best interest of our government to provide funding to education, without the option to remove it.
