On March 27th, 2014 Turkey banned Twitter and YouTube. This happened days before elections were to be held. The United States holds Turkey as a close ally, and is furthering production of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter to be built and used by Turkey. These types of strategic partnerships should not be kept with a Country who stifles their people's voice via electronic media.
