Halt or limit immigration for a period of three to five years.

With so many Americans out of work, it is time the US government limited or completely stop letting immigrants and refugees into the country. A three to five year period would allow citizens to find employment. This would also lesson the financial burden on federal and state governments. The federal government should also begin to enforce the laws regarding illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants should be removed from any federal or state welfare assistance and ultimately be deported. This would be a huge financial gain for both federal and state governments.
