halt the planned furlough of Department of Defense civilian workers and the idea of not paying them for twenty-two days.

Created by E.B. on February 18, 2013

The Obama Administration should not furlough Department of Defense civilian workers as a way to try to lower the federal budget deficit. This could impact our national security in that these individuals could be needed, but would not be in work. Furthermore, no pay and compensation for a month can significantly impact families and their salaries. It is unfair to single out this one group of employees. Why them? Why not the President's salary, or another group?
