halt the progress that the bills SOPA and PIPA have made in the legislature and protect our 1st Ammendment rights.

Created by A.H. on November 30, 2011

The bills SOPA (H.R. 3261) and PIPA (S.968) promote censorship and attempt to halt our "freedom of the press" and our "freedom of speech." PIPA and SOPA look to censor the Internet, the tool that we rely on to communicate with each other. Censoring this vital tool is the first step down from a democracy to an autocratic regime. Both bills are malicious entities and should be struck down. The lack of understanding of the Internet is also evident in these bills showing that the lawmakers that draft bills relating to current technologies are behind the times. The dinosaurs of Congress should not pass laws that have awful, unconstituional ramifications.
