halt surcharges by electric utilities to customers who connect solar or wind generation equipment to the grid.

Created by R.B. on August 03, 2015

In a 3 to 2 vote, the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) instituted a charge on future customers who install rooftop solar panels and directed Arizona Public Service (APS) to provide quarterly reports on the pace of rooftop solar adoption to assist the Commission in considering further increases. This was requested by the electric utility.

The public is expected to pay for the use of the utility's electric grid even while it provides that utility with additional energy.

I suggest the federal government withhold any assistance to utilities who implement such policies.
