Recently, news has emerged of TSA screeners maintaining presences at major passenger rail terminals, including stations in Albany, NY and Chicago, IL. Due to the non-exclusivity of major train stations as a means to gain access to a train (trains can be boarded from many small stations along their routes), because Amtrak already maintains its own police department of sworn LEOs (which TSA screeners are not), and because of the TSA's history of passenger abuse, there is nothing to be gained from introducing TSA screening procedures or personnel into the nation's rail transit system - only taxpayer money and travelers' rights to be lost. We The People call upon the Obama Administration to step in and halt TSA's expansion into a system that their methods cannot realistically secure.
