President Obama- we elected you to provide inspired and effective leadership in difficult times; believing and trusting that in you lies our best and brightest hope.
We urge you to listen to the will of the American people and desist from unilateral military intervention in the Syrian civil war. While we decry the deployment of chemical weapons against civilians as despicable, we know that we must act in concert with the international community in order to effect change and deliver aid to Syrian refugees.
We are indeed war weary. Billions of dollars were wasted in Iraq and Afghanistan, money that should have been spent to bolster our educational system, infrastructure, and economy. Show the world that a true leader respects the wishes of his people and strives for peace always.
