The "Drug War" has failed us. We must see the light that it only makes the problem worse. Drugs should be discouraged at every level as it is destroying our society but making it illegal is just making the problem worse.
To end the cartels and the majority of illegal gangs cash cow... easy legalize, regulate, tax, and provided free treatment for those that want it. We could turn a black hole money pit into a huge revenue source. Reducing violent crime.
In the Netherlands the Dutch have a lower use of cannabis in teenagers then in our own county where it is illegal.
If we don't like the results we can reinstate the law with a stroke of a pen with the benefit of criminal organizations losing contact while we try regulating the substance like alcohol. Remember prohibition in the 1920's.
