harmonize automotive regulation standards with the World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations under the UNECE

Created by R.R. on February 21, 2013

We the People are asking for harmonization of US automotive regulation standards with the World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations under the UNECE. With harmonization of regulatory standards, it will promote trade with nations abiding with the same standards, saving the automotive industry billions of dollars a year in regulatory compliance costs, expanding our domestic automotive industry on international markets, and providing consumers choices on vehicles. It will also reduce the EPA and NHTSA import requirement by lowering from 25-years to 5-10 years since most of the vehicles are under these harmonized regulations set by the UN. Most Americans are missing out on cars sold overseas and harmonization will make it easier to sell, export, or import cars.
