We signed our original Adjustable Mortgage with Accredited Home lenders with the hope that we will be able to refinance in 3 years. 2 weeks after the closing HSBC Mortgage Services acquired our loan. Its not backed by Fannie May or Freddie Mac. After 3 years with the down turn in economy and the housing market collapse, and a job loss we were not able to refinance and HSBC does not refinance and didn't qualify with any other lender. The Mortgage which was originally 7.75% shot up to 10.75. It has the potential to increase to 14.75% . We are in our 50/ 60s we want to save more so we can have a decent retirement but our Mortgage payment takes it all. We thought we are doing the right thing by not walking a way . We suffer the same as the others helped by HARP I beg to pass HARP3.0
