It is time that all government elected officials did their part in lowering the national debt. They need to take a cut in pay and retirement benefits. This act would contribute greatly to cutting the national debt!! This cut should be substantial and it would certainly boost the moral of the average American citizen!! The Constitution never allowed for career politicians to start with!!!
