The current allowable test result of THC in a railroad worker is "0". The treatments for burns, cancer, depression, using a derivative of the hemp plant, still contains a small percentage of THC. (0.02) This percentage is not enough to even cause a change in a persons abilities, and for sake of perception, is equivalent to a person gargling with mouth wash (actually less). A dentist or doctor can prescribe a drug which would cause a person to test positive for opioids, but the prescription allows that treated person to "have a positive test number". We simply ask that a "allowable" number be given to reflect a person being treated, not getting high, or recreationally, but for the reasons of treatment. Currently an entire group of workers are not allowed this treatment using CBD oil.
