Yelp is filtering good reviews while allowing bad reviews to show up for companies that don’t advertise with them. This is creating opportunities for companies engaged in wrongful behaviors to leave bad reviews unchecked on their competitor’s websites. This slanderous practice is so disappointing because there are no checks and balances to allow a legitimate company to remove any false review posted on their page. There are dozens of websites with frustrated business owners expressing similar nightmares. Many complaints have been logged with the better business bureau. Many pending lawsuits against them. Small business owners have reached out to state attorney generals who are not able to do anything.

It is time for the administration to have the AG office look into the practices of yelp
