I would like to see the president read Lincoln's Gettysburg Address at Remembrance Day ceremony. What would be more fitting than having our first African American president read the Gettysburg Address 150 years after Abraham Lincoln spoke those very words to our nation when it was engaged in our darkest hour. It would be a fitting tribute to the men who fell upon that field and countless others to free a people from bondage and heal our nation. I feel that it would mean a great deal to many in the reenacting community as well as those who had family fight and die in that war.
