Have better screen checks for people who are purchasing any type of firearm in the U.S.

The United States has had many shootings in the last few years, this is because of the people who are purchasing these weapons either have a criminal record, are mentally unstable or are living with someone who is one or both of those things, that is why there should be a better, more extensive screening process for people buying firearms. An estimated 40% of firearms sold in the U.S. are sold by unlicensed gun owners who are not required by the federal law to conduct background checks on those whom the firearms are being sold to. Those weapons that are sold to criminals, mentally unstable people or people who live with those types of people are usually used in shootings such as the Sandy Hook school shooting, the Aurora, Colorado Theater shooting and many others before those.
