Have a chained inflation index to minimum wage to ensure we are never working for less than a living wage

Created by D.B. on January 15, 2014

It would only ensure minimum wage never falls below a living wage. Similar to the formula used with military wages back in the 90's except that we want it to keep up/match with inflation and reassess every 3 years at minimum. We could call it the U.S. Promise - if you work 40 hours a week, you will never been in poverty. Tie it to an index of inflation that is realistic and fair. ANY CHANGES MADE TO THIS MEASURE WILL HAVE TO BE THROUGH A NATIONAL VOTE. To prevent any one or group from changing this without hearing directly from the people. Also keeps the political or otherwise unwanted influence away from this one decent thing.
