There are many threats to the American people. Many of which have been occuring quite recently. From the constant BLM rioting to political protests against Trump and his supporters, and the threats of terror from ISIL and other organizations. When Martial law is enacted, our rights given to us by the constitution are thrown away, and the president essentially becomes a dictator, staying in absolute power until they step down. Martial law being enacted would allow for the right to vote being taken away, and would postpone the election. It is of the utmost importance that Martial law not be used.
