Have Congress make a federal law that if a crime is commited using a gun that the persons will receive the death penalty

Created by I.M. on December 17, 2012

When anyone commits a crime using a gun, whether they never shoot the gun, just shoot the gun, but do not hit anyone or they just wound someone, or they kill someone, that person once found guilty should automatically receive the death penalty. After the trial they should be put to death within one month of the trial date. By having a harsh penalty for crimes committed with guns and enforcing it in a short time it will hopefully stop some from committing that crime. Banning guns will not help stop the shooting of innocent individuals, only by having harsh enforcement will we hopefully be able to stop these crimes. Criminals will still get any gun they want to use in criminal activities, we must make the response to this crime harsh enough so they will not want to commit the crime.
