The Fair Elections Now Act should be passed because the American people have grown frustrated with the "business-as-usual" style of politics in Washington, DC. The Fair Elections Now Act, as described at fairelectionsnow.org, "would allow federal candidates to choose to run for office without relying on large contributions, big money bundlers, or donations from lobbyists, and would be freed from the constant fundraising in order to focus on what people in their communities want." I believe it is time to begin allowing those of us who want to make a difference in America to engage in politics without relying on Big Money and this would truly make our democracy that much fairer.
