There are over 3.5 million long term unemployed Americans, including over 200,000 military veterans, who have lost EUC benefits since December 28th, 2013.
Since EUC expired people have lost their homes, cars, children, and only means of support. In fact, some 10000 have even lost their lives.
Retroactive benefits ensures the LTU they won't continue to lose their homes while job searching. It aids in digging out of the hole created since being cut off abruptly.
Please call John Boehner, and ask him to allow the House of Representatives to vote on the bipartisan approved Senate bill to extend EUC benefits, which awaits a House vote. Also, please ask Congress to make sure that these benefits are retroactive. These benefits ARE a jobs bill.
