have Congress update the child support act and revise it with today's society standards.

Created by W.J. on June 19, 2014

Vast changes have been made in society in the last few decades and the child support guidelines have stayed the same. Today, many children grow up with parents who were never married or never in a relationship. Women now work more than ever and many fathers are now stay-at-home dads. Not to mention, now we have same sex marriages and same sex parents. How come the law is so one sided in favor of women? How come the law takes so much income away from one parent even though it does not require that to raise a child? How come the law does not require the parent to show receipts for every expense that goes for the child so that child support cannot be abused and be spent on the parent? How come the law does not take in to consideration the cost to visit the child? Please update soon.
