Our service members earn less (with benefits included) than most U.S. Senators and Congressmen even when deployed. I think that with the amount of skeletons in the Congressional closets, that paying them over $100,000 to be in Congress part of the time is ridiculous, especially when all legislation is pretty much gridlocked.
