3-day work weeks for Congressmen are a joke. It's not like Congress is even working 40 weeks a year. They have a cushy part-time job.
Flying in on Tuesday AM and flying out on Thursday PM will not get the Nation's business done. Congressmen should have to CLOCK in so we know they are there, transparency, just like average Americans.. With such a low approval rating, Congress should be willing to work full-time, since they are paid full-time with lavish benefits.
Field Reps and Administrative assistants for Congressmen work full weeks and do the REAL work of Congress. The excuse of going home to fund-raise could be taken care of with another petition on campaign finanace reform. Conference calls with townhalls could replace what we have now. It is time Congress live UP to who they are.
