Jonathan Pollard is a convicted spy who leaked classified information to Israel (for which the Israeli government has admitted payment). He pleaded guilty, and therefore the American people will never know exactly the extent of the damage done to the US; we do know that the life sentence was imposed after the presiding judge read a "damage assessment" memorandum from the Secretary of Defense.
His alleged poor health is insufficient reason for release; he is eligible for and receives adequate health care at the prison facilities paid for by the taxpayers of the country he betrayed.
Releasing him due to pressure from Israel will serve only to weaken the US's sovereignty and independence in the eyes of its citizens and the world.
Pollard must complete his sentence.
