A number of people, upset at the results of this past election seem to have taken a dive down the rabbit hole into an alternate reality where they seem to believe that secession from the United States is not only legal, but a right, and that they, in their interesting version of wisdom, might petition on behalf of the state of Maryland for Maryland to leave said United States.
We the undersigned aren't quite sure where they have come up with this notion, are quite sure that Maryland is far better off as part of the United States than it would be on it's own, and are quite frankly a little bit embarrassed that there are even people in our fine state demanding such a thing.
