Congress has voted to repeal or defund the Affordable Care Act (ACA or Obamacare) 41 times, at a cost of approximately $1.75 million per vote.
During this time of economic instability, where the representatives in Congress are constantly shrieking about cutting waste in government spending, cutting this type of waste should be at the top of their list.
It is therefore proposed that IF Congress insists on voting for the same things over and over again, hoping to get a different result, the cost of such superfluous votes should be borne by the Congressional Representatives themselves, and not the general public.
