It is time for the politicians in this country to admit the failings of the common (and might I add incorrect) interpretation of the 2nd amendment. On our modern times the last thing we need is an armed civilian population. And before the attack against my patriotism I challenge that our founding fathers were very deliberate with their words and nowhere does the amendment guarantee the individual freedom to have the capability to inflict mass destruction. And yes in the day the amendment was written I believe that a mass shooting would have been considered just that.
Please strip us of our perceived right to carry weapons of mass destruction. In other countries politicians have had the courage and we need the same in our country.
