To provide people and children with a holiday after the Super Bowl. On Super Bowl Sunday, people have parties that stretch beyond the bedtimes of normal American football fans. After people are tired/hung over, there is a decline in productivity in work. This holiday excludes major occupations such as doctors, bank employees, major businesses, insurance agencies, lawyers and politicians. If people get the extra day of rest, they will come to work/school refreshed and more motivated to do their tasks. If it is not possible to make Super Bowl Monday a holiday, then the Super Bowl kickoff should be at 4 or 5 Eastern Standard Time to keep West Coast viewers. If there is a holiday the next day, more Americans will watch the game, generating more TV revenue.
