We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Have the DEA Deschedule (NOT reschedule) Cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act of 1970!

Created by N.G. on June 21, 2016

The DEA recently stated that it would reschedule Cannabis. Currently, Cannabis is a Schedule 1 substance which is the highest restriction possible. In rescheduling, Cannabis could become a Schedule 2, effectively making it on the same level as prescription-only drugs like Abilify, Adderall, and Oxycontin. This would also make it prescription-only which will outlaw recreational use. Recreational use has managed to provide the U.S. economy billions in revenue, as well as hundreds of thousands of job and is expected to grow further. If Cannabis is rescheduled, the regulations would severely affect the current businesses and would allow Big Pharma take over the cannabis industry. Please help in changing this and demanding that Cannabis be removed from the Controlled Substances Act of 1970!
