Have the Department of Justice intervene in Chicago to preserve the rights and safety of the citizens from violence.

Created by N.L. on March 13, 2013

The escalating violence in Chicago is a threat to the civil liberties and unalienable rights of the citizens of the city. Over 500 people were murdered in 2012 and in the first quarter of 2013 numerous children have lost their lives senselessly. Moreover, there has been no justice as often there have been no arrests and/or the failure to cooperate by law-abiding citizens out of fear of retaliation. The government must act now to protect its citizens from random acts of fatalistic violence at all costs. At the creation of this petition, 6-month old Jonylah Watkins was shot 5 times and killed. We cannot further globalist agendas to stop violence when such despicable actions are tolerated domestically. The federal government must give the state of Illinois a specific mandate.
