Have the DOJ move to stop the Illegal GOP gerrymandering of Congressional Districts that violate "One Man One Vote"!

Created by S.M. on February 05, 2013

One Man One Vote: In Supreme Court decisions on reapportionment cases in the 1960s, notably Reynolds v. Sims, the court ruled that districts for the United States House of Representatives and for the legislative districts of both houses of state legislatures had to contain roughly equal populations. GOP Congressional District gerrymandering in key States has allowed Republicans to gain disproportional representation in the House of Representatives that doesn't reflect the vote of the people. In Pennsylvania in 2012, for example, President Barack Obama received 52 percent of the vote, compared with Mitt Romney's 46.8 percent total. However, Democrats won only five of the state's 18 seats in the House of Representatives. The DOJ must take action to remedy this illegal situation!
