Doris "Dorie" Miller should posthumusly recieve the Medal of Honor for his heroic service aboard the USS West Virginia on Dec 7,1941. We've all seen his heroics as portrayed in the movie "Pearl Harbor" by actor Cuba Gooding Jr.
It would be fitting that at the next Remberance Day ceremony ( that is what it is called in Canada), President Obama bestow upon Mr Miller an honor which was denied him simply because of his race.
Perhaps Mr Gooding Jr. could present the Medal Of Honor to a descendant of Dorie Miller.
