Too many technologies are being developed throughout the world which would make driving safer, yet are illegal in U.S. vehicles due to antiquated regulations. One example is the use of LED's of varying strength in headlights which allow more of the road to be illuminated while not blinding oncoming traffic. Both Audi and Mercedes are using this technology in European vehicles.
