Have each state enact a new firearm tax that is used to employ retired military to be stationed at schools as marshals.

Have state enact a new tax on all firearms, ammo and shooting supplies. This revenue is used to pay the salary of "school marshals" in each school to protect our children. The Marshall's will all be retired military, and will be payed the difference between the military pension they receive and their active duty pay grade (In essence, they will receive the same pay they did while active duty, but each state will only half to fund about half that amount). We've all spent 20 plus years protecting this country, so protecting our children would be not only a natural transition but an honor.
