have the FAA and the DOT control the spacing between seats on Commercial Airliners.

Air travel in coach these days has become an ordeal. Airlines have crammed so many seats into coach that it is impossible to ride in comfort or safety. It is also a danger to a persons health with deep leg thrombosis being a danger on long flights. The safety danger is the fact that if an evacuation were required the distance now between the seats makes it almost impossible to evacuate quickly and safely. Recently several flights have been diverted because of passengers being crammed into seats causing confrontations between passengers. This can only increase as more and more passengers get fed up with the present situation. Federal relief is required!!!!
