have Family Friendly Weekends & Extended Hours at least once a month at the National Historic Sites & Museums in DC.

Created by K.L. on January 25, 2013

Many families today have tight budgets & can't afford length vacations which is why visiting DC is always a great option. However, on a recent trip I found that my family spent MOST of the day rushing through museums and historic sightings because we were trying to "get to" as many as we could, knowing that most places would close at 5:30pm.

If there was a Family Friendly Weekend done monthly in DC that would allow all the places like the Museum of American History for example to remain open to at least 8:00pm then perhaps you can allow yourself more time to soak in much more of what our American history has to show and teach us.

A campaign to restore families begins with families being able to spend more time together. So simply put that is what I am asking for - more family time. :~)
