Created by C.S. on February 02, 2015

The DEA classifies drugs into five (5) distinct categories or schedules depending upon the drug’s acceptable medical use and the drug’s abuse or dependency potential. The FDA should determine a drugs acceptable medical use and the drug’s physical dependency potential and schedule drugs into five categories. These five categories will represent the United States government stance on drug’s acceptable medical use along with the physical dependency potential.
