Have the federal government fully fund our national parks, without opening them to destructive business development.

To help safeguard our American history, culture, and natural wonders for current and future generations, we are asking the Obama administration to prioritize and fully fund the US national parks, beginning in the administration's upcoming budget cycle. Unfortunately, making up just 0.007% of the federal budget, America's national parks need more financial support to continue contributing to our national and global economic health. The National Parks Conservation Association states on its website that "national parks generate $31 billion from tourism and recreation alone--a fantastic return on our small investment." Ninety percent of Democrats and Republicans agree that further cuts to national parks cannot be afforded.
