Have the federal government legalize same-sex marriage in all states and territories.

Created by M.T. on November 14, 2012

Currently, only nine states (Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Washington) and Washington D.C. have legalized same-sex marriage in the United States. This needs to be changed, immediately. According to Amendment 1 of the Constitution, the freedom of religion (along with other freedoms) is stated. Relativity, the United States grants the separation form church and state. The church no longer dictates marriage, and same-sex marriage should be legalized in all states and territories.
