Have females be paid the same amount when doing a job as men

A female with all the same abilities as a men gets paid less in every job she does because she was born with female parts. This isn't the middle ages we as females have the same rights as men how come we get paid so much less? This makes no sense whatsoever and makes me ashamed of my country.
