have the Food & Drug Administration start evaluating over-the-counter vitamins, minerals, supplements and drugs.

Created by R.E. on October 28, 2015

The FDA evaluates and regulates prescription drugs for the safety of the general public. But, at present, they do not regulate, or even evaluate, vitamins, minerals and supplements. My concern is that someone who has a medical issue could take something that isn't regulated that interacts with a prescription that they are taking and could die. If these supplements were regulated/evaluated, it would, first off, protect the consumer, and secondly, the manufacturers of the supplements from possible lawsuits.
